Coastal and Port Construction Solutions

STEEL PILE DRIVING

It can be used in forming the foundation of a pier or quay within the sea, in reinforcing the sub-foundation of unstable and expired marine structures, in quay and pier expansion and renovation works, in deep excavations to prevent the material under coastal structures from flowing into the sea and the sub-material from emptying, and in infrastructure projects for creating collapse and impermeability curtains. These operations are carried out in all areas in a COMFORTABLE, FLEXIBLE, PRACTICAL, AND ECONOMICAL manner.

Steel Pile Driving

What is steel pile driving? Piles that are driven into the ground through impact, pushing, and vibration to carry superstructure loads and lateral loads are called driven piles. Driving piles made of H-shaped steel materials and created by impact are called steel piles. Steel piles are used in open or closed pipe form. They can be applied vertically and inclined. Prefabricated reinforced concrete piles with various sections such as round, square, hexagonal are also driven. Shares with similar properties can be provided. Pile foundations are the lowest cost of these systems. They are determined according to the structure of the ground and are produced by the hammer method or vibration method. Sometimes they are created by the driving force of a hydraulic press.
Steel piles placed in openings, as in the bored pile method, are emptied, reinforced, and concrete is poured. Those driven with closed ends perform ground improvement by compressing the soil into the volume of the pile diameter. Closed steel piles can also be called displacement piles. Steel piles are one of the most commonly used types of piles in practice and are usually manufactured in the form of H or I profiles. They can be produced and used with circular pipe cross-sections, closed or open-ended. They often use concrete internally. Due to their high strength, they are usually created as end-bearing piles. In steel pile driving, pile tips are reinforced to prevent damage during driving. To prevent adverse external effects and corrosion, their outer surfaces can be coated with bituminous material or encased in a concrete jacket. Steel piles can be extended by welding to achieve the required pile driving length. This process is used for offshore structures, especially long piles.

How is a Steel Pile Driven?

In steel pile driving, for the foundation to be solid, the piles must be driven firmly and to a sufficient depth. In this context, companies must first conduct a ground survey. Immediately after, the depths at which the piles to be driven can be driven are calculated. It is checked whether this process is suitable for the project of the person commissioning the work. After all these are carefully calculated, the pile driving process begins. Special machines are used for driving piles. In this way, large steel piles are easily driven into the ground. It is absolutely impossible for the steel piles driven into the ground to move.

Steel Pile Driving
Steel pile driving, the most important step in marine construction, is the steel pile driving process. It is impossible to create the superstructure without permanent and durable piles driven into the seabed. Before starting pile driving, as soon as the load pile inspection yields positive results, the next stage is passed. In the engineering phase, the pile driving process begins with design options, loads, ground and pile characteristics. After the pile driving process is completed, in-pile equipment is placed and concreting is carried out. Especially in the upper 6-7 meter section, after the concrete dries, the pile cap beam formwork is placed, and the pre-prepared equipment is also placed, and the pile driving process is carried out. In the pile driving operations we carry out as a company, we pay attention to the work planning process and, by making accurate determinations of the projects, we provide services with environmental and human safety.

Steel Pile Construction
Steel pile construction, steel pile driving of various lengths up to 2500 mm in diameter, is carried out in the best way with our experienced and equipped equipment. Steel pile driving processes are important for the superstructure and foundation to be solid. Therefore, piles must be driven firmly and at sufficient depth. Therefore, ground survey should be done before the pile driving process. In the next step, depth calculation is made for the piles. Thanks to this process we carry out, it is understood whether the project is compatible with the ground. After all necessary examinations are made in this entire process, the pile driving process is carried out. As a company, we care about quality and do our job extremely well. We fix the steel piles to the ground with our equipped pile driving vehicles. Thanks to the steel we use in pile driving, solid and safe structures are created.

Pile Driving at Sea
Pile driving at sea is the foundation stage of the structure desired to be built on the sea. The main function of piles is to safely transfer the building load to the solid ground layers located under the ground layer. Ground structure is an important factor in marine steel pile driving. As a matter of fact, pile types can vary according to the ground structure and load-bearing capacity. Pile driving into the sea is a piling process carried out by reinforcing with materials poured onto steel piles manufactured in the form of H or I profiles into a hole drilled in the sea.
